Colours of the North

Nigerian photographer Etinosa Yvonne captures the beauty, joy and colour that comes with the Sallah celebration.

I began solo traveling in 2015. While I haven’t visited all 36 states in Nigeria, I have explored every region of the country.

Each journey brings new discoveries; however, I am always in awe whenever I travel to the Northern part of Nigeria. While Nigerians are quite colourful, there is an unmatched vibrancy that exists in the Northern part of Nigeria.

During an assignment and subsequent vacation in Zaria, Kaduna state I seized the opportunity to capture the beauty, joy and colours that come with the Sallah celebration.
