Aurélien Lulah Ferreira

Aurélien Ferreira, also known as ‘Lulah’, is a French photographer born in 1988 in La Rochelle, but currently living and working in Toulouse. Introduced to photography almost by chance, he honed his craft at the Ateliers Saint-Cyprien in the early 2010’s while sharpening his eye on the city’s streets.

At the crossroads of street photography and documentary work, the stories he constructs are mostly paved with black-and-white imagery. An approach that cuts straight to the essence: light highlighting the silhouettes he encounters around the world during his wanderings. His work carries the imprint of hip-hop culture, the 90s generation, and a sense of spontaneity borrowed from humanist photography. A sensitive, distinctive lens on our time that allows us to contemplate it before it fades away forever.
